EXAMS CANCELLED...WHAT'S NEXT?
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 crisis, all 2020 Summer exams have been cancelled. This means that students will given 'calculated' examination grades. These grades will be calculated using a number of factors that include but are not limited to: predicated grades, the student's most recent mock exam results, class work/homework and teachers' references. Students will receive their results by the end of July 2020. For more information on this, please watch the video below.
There will be some students who will not be happy with their calculated grade. Students who end up in this situation will be given the opportunity to sit their GCSE or A-level exam/s in Autumn 2020, following an appeals process. We have not been given a date for when these exams will start. We strongly advise that students continue to study throughout this period to ensure that they're well prepared should they need to sit their exams.
For students who are in year 13 and are worried about their university place, our advice is to contact the university where you have confirmed your place as soon as possible. Universities are dealing with this situation in different ways and it is important that you are well informed of the process for the university of your choice.
